Creature Encounters Session - Sat 10th Oct, 11:00am

Thank you for choosing to book a Creature Encounters Experience!

Please see below under 'Other Guidance' for the Terms & Conditions for on-site animal encounter experiences, which you agree to by booking this session.

For parent or guardians wishing to observe and not participate we have a small seating area in the encounter room. Due to limited spaces we request only one observer per booking, however the encounters are suitable for all ages so why not get involved!

Please Note: The encounter room is up one flight of stairs. If this will be an issue please contact us for a future ground floor encounter sessions.

Below are the key terms and conditions for such an experience. Expanded details, risk assessments, insurance and licensing details can all be found in the CE Information Pack which you can be sent on request and will be available as a hard copy, if required, on the day in the encounter room.

Animal Encounter
- Creature Encounters cannot guarantee any animal can be interacted with or be seen. However, we will always provide a range of exciting species to interact with. Requests are welcome but we cannot guarantee they can be accommodated.

- We request that when taking photos the flash is turned off.

- If participants are not comfortable with a certain animal they do not have to interact with, or handle, them. We request that guardians do no force anyone to do so. Observation up close can be just as exciting.

- Correct handling or interaction techniques will be explained as each animal is brought out. We have the right to end the display of any animal if they are being incorrectly interacted with or the animal is showing signs of stress.

- Not all animals can be held by participants even if the ranger/s may do so.

- We do not allow snakes around the neck or any animal to be near the participants face. The ranger/s may hold larger snakes over one shoulder for mobility.

Health & Safety
- The encounter room is accessible only by one set of stairs. If accessibility is an issue please contact us and we can discuss future ground floor sessions.

- The ranger/s will instruct participants to wash hands before and after the encounter but responsibility of such is the participant's or their guardian.

- The animals that we use in these experiences are well handled and used to participants of all types, however these are still animals. If startled or they feel threatened they may react. We are not liable if the participants are injured from nipping, biting or scratching, or if clothing is damaged due to scratches or soiling.

- Some of our animals are fluffy, such as guniea pigs and rats, so any participants with allergies should be made known to the ranger/s before the session starts. We are not liable for any reaction caused by any animal.

Final Details

- We encourage you to take photos, but please ensure that if you are uploading photos and videos to social media, that they are of only your child.

- Any comments and feedback are very welcome.

- All our rangers are very friendly, professional and approachable but if the event is not going as expected please let the ranger know and they will happily take your comments on board. For complaints contact support@wildwoodpets.co.uk and we can review what occurred, although we cannot guarantee any refund.

- Spaces are limited so if you wish to cancel, we can only offer a refund more than 48 hours before the experience. Any cancellations after that will not be eligible for a refund.

- In the unlikely event we cannot host the planned experience due to ranger illness or other factors outside of our control we will endeavour to rearrange, or offer a refund.
